GT car body controller

Legality systems for a sports car are provided by our body controller.  This provides central locking with a remote keyfob, with soft drive of courtesy light, drive-away locking. Also provides  seat belt warning, fog lights control, headlights on warning.

 
3 way CAN bridge

Developed for Proton cars to allow mule vehicles to use drivetrain, body electronics and instrument pack from different suppliers during vehicle development program.

 
LIN bus wiper controller

Used to demonstrate a fully network car by Sumitomo wiring systems to VW.

 
CAN steering wheel node
Used to demonstrate a fully network car by Sumitomo wiring systems to VW.  Also drives a LIN bus for the above wiper controller.
 
MG Rover passive entry system

A system which detects the presence of a keyfob in the users pocket, so that when the door handle of a car fitted with the system is pulled, the car pings the keyfob, which transmits ‘unlock and open’command to the car, causing the door to unlock and also electrically release so that the door feels like it was unlocked.  Users without the fob find the door is locked.  The buttons can be used as normal allowing the standard remote unlock-lock-deadlock as well as panic alarm and childlock, by double press or by long press detection.

   
  Keyfob

The keyfob has 3 buttons and a 3-axis 125KHz receiver for passive vehicle entry, and a implements a UHF transmitter on the PCB.  Battery life of a keyfob was found to be around 3 years.

   
  Body interface
 

The body interface implements a UHF receiver decoder (with a bought in UHF receiver tile), lock/unlock switch inputs, CAN bus connection to vehicle electronics, LIN interface to door latches.  It also has LF transmit and door latch drive capability so that it can be used stand alone as a single door demonstrator.  An LCD display can be added for demonstration purposes.

 

 

  LIN bus door latch
 

The LIN bus based door latch incorporates motor drive and 125KHz transmitter inside a door latch.  It monitors the state of the door latch for door open, locked, deadlocked status.  It can drive LED and monitor a pushbutton for smart door nibs.  Four door latches typically connect to the body interface.

 
OLED control panel / data logger

A general purpose controller with a colour 128x128 OLED display CAN bus, USB interface, SD memory card slot, port to add WiFi adapter. 12V and 24V systems tolerant switch inputs, LSD relay drives  8 channel constant current LED drive. Analog inputs configurable for NTC inputs.
